Fan girl moment...

I have only been blogging consistently for about a month. So yesterday, I was going on my blog and just seeing what is up and I see that I have a new follower (This makes me think of a cult and kool-aid.). It turned out to be The Story Siren. She is one of the first book blogs that I read. My first was Miss Erin or Little Willow. So, I had a little fan girl moment. I had it when I got a comment from Erin, too. I love the people you meet through blogging and books. Thanks, Kristi, Sarah, and Zoe, for following me.

Oh, I bought some books today. I got Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson, Wake by Lisa McMann, and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I have read the first two. I am so excited to read The Hunger Games, soon. I also found out that my local book store is now 20% off of all Hardcover Young Adult books. That is around the price of buying a book at Amazon.

I also got to see some friends that I haven't seen in weeks and it just amazing. I love youth group. So, I am in a great mood. =)
Peace out, Sarah.

  1. thanks for the shout out! keep up the good work!

  2. Hi, Sarah - thanks for stopping by! I have been doing some blog housekeeping today, trying to update my layout, etc - I really need to start following my favorite blogs, including yours. xo

  3. Oh, thank you for making my day with this post!

  4. So glad you keep in touch with your local book store!!!

If they are discounting that hard, they are in need of sales--they don't get the big discounts from the publishers that the chains do.

Indies struggle to compete. If we lose them, we lose the bookiest people in town, the people who can recommend titles because they have actually *read* them.

    You probably already know
    but just in case...

  5. I love my local bookstore. They have let me borrow a few ARCs that they got. The discount is also amazing and they are real sweethearts. I try to do all my book shopping there, because indie stores are important. They always set up some cool events, every few weeks.
A cool thing is that they mark local author books and all books that have been nominated or won.

Thanks for visiting. Every comment creates a smile.
