Also Known As by Robin Benway

Source: Review
Being a 16-year-old safecracker and active-duty daughter of international spies has its moments, good and bad. Pros: Seeing the world one crime-solving adventure at a time. Having parents with super cool jobs. Cons: Never staying in one place long enough to have friends or a boyfriend. But for Maggie Silver, the biggest perk of all has been avoiding high school and the accompanying cliques, bad lunches, and frustratingly simple locker combinations.
Then Maggie and her parents are sent to New York for her first solo assignment, and all of that changes. She'll need to attend a private school, avoid the temptation to hack the school's security system, and befriend one aggravatingly cute Jesse Oliver to gain the essential information she needs to crack the case . . . all while trying not to blow her cover.

I adored Robin Benway's books. Audrey, Wait! and The Extraordinary Secrets of April, June, and July were funny and clever books that I adored.
Maggie was a funny and clever. I liked that she was confident about herself. She was just a great character and I loved the relationship that she had with her parents and their family friend Angelo. It was great to see in Young Adult and I hope to see it more. I also adored her friend Roux. She was very spontaneous and unpredictable. Jesse may seem like just another bad ass, but he had a past and I found it very intriguing. I found the plot to be very fast paced and intriguing. I read this whole book in one sitting. I didn't want to put it down, because I had to know what would happen next. I did not want to leave this story unfinished.  I liked the world that Benway built and I wanted to know more about it. The way that Benway wrote about a teenage spy was original and I can't wait to see what is next. Benway's writing is just amazing and I can't wait to read more. Her books are just so funny and clever. I recommend this to the fans of Ally Carter. Seriously, it has a smart and funny character, an exciting and interesting plot, and really sharp and amazing writing.

Three sisters, three extraordinary, life-changing powers!
I hugged my sisters and they fit against my sides like two jigsaw pieces that would never fit anywhere else. I couldn’t imagine ever letting them go again, like releasing them would be to surrender the best parts of myself.
Three sisters share a magical, unshakable bond in this witty high-concept novel from the critically acclaimed author of Audrey, Wait! Around the time of their parents’ divorce, sisters April, May, and June recover special powers from childhood—powers that come in handy navigating the hell that is high school. Powers that help them cope with the hardest year of their lives. But could they have a greater purpose?
April, the oldest and a bit of a worrier, can see the future. Middle-child May can literally disappear. And baby June reads minds—everyone’s but her own. When April gets a vision of disaster, the girls come together to save the day and reconcile their strained family.
They realize that no matter what happens, powers or no powers, they’ll always have each other. Because there’s one thing stronger than magic: sisterhood
April, May, and June were such amazing sisters and their relationship seemed so realistic. I grew up with two sisters, so I could relate to how they felt. April reminded me a lot of myself. She was constantly stressed about school and never though that she would ever have a boy like her. I still feel this way and understood what April was experiencing. May also reminded me a lot of myself. I felt that I could also relate to her. I think that everyone has felt like they were invisible and no one cared about her. I could also relate to the fact that June wanted to fit in and be popular. I believe that everyone can relate to that feeling sometime in their life. I also loved how their voices didn't blend together and that there The boys were also dreamy. I loved the romances that developed in the book and how they seemed so realistic. I really like the idea of having a contemporary plot with a mix of a supernatural element. I found it to be well balanced and well written. The plot was also funny at times like Benway's last book Audrey, Wait! The sister dynamic was a great part of the plot and also very sweet. April, May, and June were all very original. Benway is an amazing writer and I can't wait for there to be more books from her in the future. I would really recommend this book to sisters or people that loved Audrey, Wait!

Tips on Having a Gay (Ex) Boyfriend by Carrie Jones

Score: 4.5/5
Summary: Belle believes that Dylan is the one that she'll marry, but one day, Dylan tells her that he is gay. Belle wonders where does this leave her. Dylan and her have been best friends since they were little in their little town in Maine. Since they started dating, Belle has been known as Dylan's girlfriend or the other half of their couple hood.
Belle and her other best friend, Emily decide that she can only have a week to cry, because she doesn't want to become like Mallory. As the week goes on, Belle finds a possible relationship in a guy that she least suspects and it turns out that he has liked for her for a long time. Bella also finds that having a gay ex-boyfriend isn't so so easy. She starts to find that both her and Dylan are getting harassed. This story is original and amazing.

Notes: If you haven't read this, go pick this up and get somewhere comfortable. It is a fairly short, yet amazing read. The characters are really amazing and well developed. I could relate to them. This is amazing for a debut novel and I need to get Carrie Jones' other books, as soon as possible. If you like Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway, you will probably like this and vice versa. The characters are both getting attention for past relationships and it has similar humor.
