Pottermore is wow...

I decided to write this post, because I was one of the lucky few to get early access to Pottermore yesterday. Let me just say that it is amazing. The artwork of each scene is magical and amazing. It is kind of like rereading the books.

The sorting is really awesome. You get asked a different series of questions that help the hat choose where you should be. I was sorted into Slytherin, which is a huge surprise to me. I always believed that I was a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor. You get a welcome letter that explains your house. Mine actually helped me like my house.

Getting your wand is an awesome experience. Once again, you're asked a series of questions, then you are given a wand. My wand is Pine with Dragon core thirteen inches. You can use spells in the duel feature and it is really hard. Potions is also very tricky and I totally understand why Harry sucked now.

The bonus feature materials of Pottermore are amazing. McGonagall's backstory almost made me cry.

Favorite Harry Potter Quotes

Khy at the Frenetic Reader did a post on some of her favorite Harry Potter Quotes earlier this week. I decided to do it too, because with less then 12 hours till it is out, it is the only thing on my mind. So here I go...

Luna Lovegood is one of my favorite characters ever. She is so funny and amazing. I love that she doesn't really care about what other people think.

Pottermore

I was really hoping for a MMORPG or an encyclopedia. It isn't a traditional game, but it sounds amazing. I am going to a second Wizard Rock concert this week and am planning to start re-reading the books soon. I also have my midnight tickets already. So, can it be July and then October like now?

What Harry Potter means to me...

I saw this on Tumblr and loved it. It made me happy and so sad at the same time
The Harry Potter Series has and probably will also have a special part in my heart. I have read these books over and over for thirteen years, and while I am excited for the end of the movies series. I also know that it is kind of an end of my childhood in a way. After part two, there sadly won't be anymore new books or movies, which is completely depressing and with only 46 more days till the last one, it seems to finally be so close that I am both excited and mournful. I want to see the end, but at the same time, I don't want an ending. I am worried that it won't be as good as the books.
Harry Potter ignited my love for reading. I will always treasure getting the books for the first time and cracking them open over and over. I fall into Rowling's world every time and I never want it to end. At the same time I know that it won't Every book is still as magical for me as the first time that I read it. Even though I know the ending and the fate for everyone. I plan to re-read all of them by July 15th, which is definitely doable. My record is reading all seven books in 10 days. Anyways, what is your favorite part of Harry Potter? If you haven't read them, I challenge you to read them now...

Harry Potter and other stuff.

I can't believe that the last Harry Potter is coming out in just a few hours. I am so excited and can't wait to see it at midnight. I have been rereading the books for the last week and completely loved it.

I also want to let you all know that my C-reactive protein is higher then when I had my abscess. I feel fine and have to get several test. Wish me luck!

Omg, I can't believe that this is my 800th post.
I am rereading Harry Potter and the Sorcerers' Stone again and it is more epic then I remember. I will leave you with this video....

The Debs and Little Brown are giving 100 copies of Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler. I loved this book, so I suggest that you go enter, like now. Banned Books Weeks starts tomorrow. My local indie had an awesome display, I wish that I had a camera then. Here is a list from ALA of commonly banned books here.
All of the Panelists for Cybils have been announced. I want to wish all of them luck in reading all of the books. I had so much fun, when I did Cybils last year. You can nominate books pretty soon.

So, I am running out of ideas on what to post about... so this will be just random rambling.
First off, Happy Birthday to Kristi of The Story Siren fame and also to my IRL friend Rebecca! Have a fun day.
Second off, New Harry Potter Trailer is pimp. Spoil alert to those that haven't seen it. I love Ginny and Harry in the trailer cute... and I really am excited for it. It got moved up two days on the release, yay!
Third, I saw Rachel Getting Married and Seven Pounds. Rachel getting Married wasn't as good as I though it would be, but Anne Hathaway was awesome in it. Seven Pounds was really good. Will Smith was awesome. My mom also bought Marley and Me, I am excited to watch it. It looks so cute.

Cover Art Saturday: Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson

Laurie Halse Anderson wrote one of my favorite books, Speak. Since then she has written many other wonderful books. Wintergirls is about a girl named Lia. She finds out that her former best friend Cassie is dead. Lia and Cassie always had a contest going to see who could be the skinniest. Lia is haunted by Cassie and tries to keep the weight on. The reviews that I have read, make it sound so amazing and a must read.
The cover is also astounding. The blue looks like ice and the glowing green eyes are just amazing. The look of unsureness is perfect and I love the cover.
Wintergirls will be releases on March 19th. I hope you check it out or Laurie's many other books. They are well written and very enjoyable. Her books are very true to any one's feelings in their situation.

Sorry for the lateness of the post. I have been watching Harry Potter Movies all day and playing on neopets.
