Sophie is scared of everything: Germs, Cancer, or even become an orphan. Then one day, Pablo, a six year old, is found crossing the border with her stepfather Juan's business card. His parents died in that trip, and he comes to live with them. She grows to love this little boy who she calls-her Principito, Little Prince, after the book. After a while, Sophie's parents are able to contact Pablo's extended family. Sophie, her aunt Dika, Dika's boyfriend Mr Lorenzo, and his son Angel, travel with Pablo to Mexico. So, he can make his decision on whether to stay with Sophie's family or go back to his home.
On the travel down, Sophie become close with Angel. She is afraid that he will leave her for Guatemala.
This book had vivid imagery and was really well told. I could imagine Mexico and Guatemala from the description. The plot was original and really well done. The characters were fantastic. I liked how Sophie grew out of her fears and started to live. The writing was also pretty good.
I have an extra copy of this book. So a random commenter of this review will be chosen on May 10th at Noon. Best of luck to all.

  1. I'd love to take part! This reminds me somewhat of Need by Carrie Jones, with the phobias and all. Thanks for the contest!

  6. Yikes. This has been on the wishlist for about a month, ever since I heard about it. SO want to read it. BUT my TBR pile is - well, over my head, so if I don't win, I'll survive. (Barely, but, you know.)

I still love your header, btw.
