If you haven't read the Luxe series, then you are missing out. These books are like a mix of Gossip Girls and historical novels. The covers are also astounding. Each one has a lovely dress on it, with the character that rises to power in the book.
I love the dress and the pose in this book. The red on the dress could have the meaning of what happened in the last book.
I hope you check out this series. Envy comes out on January 27th. Yay!

I really love the covers for these books. They really go with the time era and plot.
ReplyDeleteI was really excited to get an advance reader of this. I am a little in love with dystopians right now, and this is a really cool concept. The world is intriguing and mostly believable, packed with danger and well-built suspense. The writing flows well and there are no slow points in the plot to amount to anything. She makes constant reference to other books throughout, which gave the story an intellectual feel. At the same time, the book seems to encourage kids to question what they learn in school, and that is a noble pursuit.
